Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Slashers IF's Matthias Olsman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Valter Bergstedt's late challenge caught a Liverpool FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valter Bergstedt helped the player get up and apologised. In the 2nd minute, one of Slashers IF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Slashers IF. When the match had been going on for 4 minutes, Liverpool FC's David Klemensson got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Tage Bark. Kurt Magnusson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tage Bark having to make a save. 16 minutes into the match, Henry Bergqvist notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Liverpool FC's Sven Bocklund. Sven Bocklund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pär Danielsson shot from long distance in the 19th minute, but Tage Bark was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Tage Bark made an important save on a dangerous shot by Melker Lundström in the 20th minute. Slashers IF's Tage Bark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukas Mikaelsson in the 22nd minute of play. Kurt Magnusson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Lukas Mikaelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liverpool FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lukas Mikaelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tage Bark breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 28 played minutes Slashers IF got a freekick which was hit by Hampus Hammarbäck. Kurt Magnusson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Tage Bark when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 33rd minute Henry Bergqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven Bocklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matthias Olsman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kurt Magnusson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tage Bark having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lukas Mikaelsson to make the kick off. Tage Bark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukas Mikaelsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Slashers IF's Matthias Olsman was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 55th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Tage Bark didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lukas Mikaelsson went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Pär Danielsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tage Bark. Slashers IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Liverpool FC booed when Slashers IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rutger Hansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Slashers IF defense, Östen Tinglöv kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tage Bark. The Slashers IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tage Bark should have stopped the shot. 84 minutes into the match, Kurt Magnusson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tage Bark. Slashers IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kurt Magnusson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-3. In the 96th match minute, Slashers IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valter Bergstedt to maneuver through the defense. In the 99th minute of the match Liverpool FC got a corner. Slashers IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David Klemensson ran over to the corner to take the kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Liverpool FC had won after a very even match.
