Kalle Blom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Ove Heggert in the 19th minute of the match. Gert Linberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfons Almstedt in the 20th minute. A collision led to Memento mori IFK getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Memento mori IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robin Nilsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Memento mori IFK's zone, Johnny Ambjörnsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kalle Blom came out of the goal and Johnny Ambjörnsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dan Asklund made a kick off. If Sven-Ove Heggert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Robin Nilsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Memento mori IFK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Gert Linberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pål Karlsson in the 64th minute of play. In the 68th minute Johnny Ambjörnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kalle Blom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stefan Moberg kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven-Ove Heggert got free with Kalle Blom in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Memento mori IFK's Kalle Blom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Memento mori IFK from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Memento mori IFK's Kalle Blom got control of the ball when Sven-Ove Heggert tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carl Ahlkvist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 80th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kalle Blom. Memento mori IFK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gert Linberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin Nilsson in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Johnny Ambjörnsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 84th match minute, Memento mori IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Åberg to maneuver through the defense. Sven-Ove Heggert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karl-Erik Kalfhage kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Memento mori IFK's zone, Dan Asklund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kalle Blom came out of the goal and Dan Asklund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
