The player immediately received a yellow card. After 13 played minutes Dunderbacken BK got a freekick which was hit by Marc Hellström. Joel Lundström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stig Nykvist's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute, Stig Nykvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dunderbacken BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 21 minutes into the match, Stig Nykvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joel Lundström. Råttjägarna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stig Nykvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When Kenny Jonsson came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Dunderbacken BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kenny Jonsson couldn't finish the play. Kenny Jonsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel Lundström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Joel Lundström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig Nykvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 36 played minutes Dunderbacken BK got a freekick which was hit by Ragnar Hermansson. The Dunderbacken BK fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Dunderbacken BK's Stig Nykvist looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The Dunderbacken BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6.
