The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Villiam Nord to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Kjell-Arne Vallengren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Krister Vallander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kjell-Arne Vallengren in the 55th minute. Dantes Djälvular's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sundborn the free kick. The supporters of Sundborn booed when Dantes Djälvular was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herman Kilstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bertil Ros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 89 minutes, Folke Åkesson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dantes Djälvular and the Sundborn players grew even worse after the yellow card. After taking down the ball on Dantes Djälvular's corner Konrad Wickander fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Harald Strömbom quite easily take care of the ball. Harald Strömbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Wallman in the 97th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sundborn eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
