The supporters of Ingatorp booed when Doloures Price was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Waller didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute Ingatorp were awarded a corner. Pär Stolpe went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 24th minute Joachim Björklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alf Bergström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tage Mortensen in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alf Bergström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edgar Sundberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Arne Karlstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alf Bergström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Björklund, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After having played for 40 minutes, Michael Godholm managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Doloures Price's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michael Godholm was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute of the match, Michael Godholm got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alf Bergström was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ingatorp fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 49 minutes, Doloures Price's Tage Mortensen got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Alf Bergström. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sven-Arne Karlstedt made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Ingatorp's goal looked a bit too open when Joachim Björklund came free, but Alf Bergström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Josef Burman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ingatorp's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Doloures Price the free kick. The Ingatorp fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alf Bergström should have stopped the shot. Per-Erik Gustafsson's late challenge caught a Doloures Price's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Per-Erik Gustafsson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Ingatorp's Per-Erik Gustafsson got a free kick in the 77th minute. The audience was convinced that Joachim Björklund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alf Bergström was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. After 86 played minutes Ingatorp got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Emil Odeen. In the 90th minute, Joachim Björklund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alf Bergström was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Michael Godholm might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alf Bergström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Michael Godholm ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 97th minute Michael Godholm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alf Bergström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 98 minutes into the match, Ingatorp's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Godholm came free, but Alf Bergström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 101st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ingatorp's goalkeeper Alf Bergström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Doloures Price had played much better football throughout.
