Sven-Edvin Hedvall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Godholm in the 15th minute of play forced Grillby FK's goalkeeper Tommy Löv to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joachim Björklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Löv having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Michael Godholm had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Löv. Grillby FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Michael Godholm was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Michael Godholm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Doloures Price's supporters rose to their feet, but Michael Godholm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Löv breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute, Alexander Bergman made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Löv. Grillby FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Joakim Svensson fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grillby FK's protests and gave Joakim Svensson a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 minutes of play Grillby FK's Joakim Svensson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Doloures Price booed when Grillby FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joakim Svensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grillby FK's Thor Lindgren got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Grillby FK's Tommy Löv played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joachim Björklund in the 45th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michael Godholm made a kick off. Joachim Björklund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gösta Kleen charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gösta Kleen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Doloures Price booed when Grillby FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gösta Kleen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michael Godholm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gösta Kleen got his second yellow card in the match during the 56th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Grillby FK getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Gösta Kleen hit a great ball. Joachim Björklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Löv having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Grillby FK's goal looked a bit too open when Joachim Björklund came free, but Tommy Löv reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Grillby FK's Tommy Löv got control of the ball when Michael Godholm tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th minute Joachim Björklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Löv saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michael Godholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Löv having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joachim Björklund in the 71st minute of play forced Grillby FK's goalkeeper Tommy Löv to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Grillby FK's Tommy Löv got control of the ball when Michael Godholm tried to sneak it across the goal line. A hard shot 80 in the game by Michael Godholm from a close distance when the talented Tommy Löv managed to make a qualified save. Grillby FK's players were relieved. Tommy Löv showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joachim Björklund in the 81st minute of the match. Michael Godholm who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Tommy Löv when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 86thth minute of the game Tage Mortensen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grillby FK's Tommy Löv was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Doloures Price's Michael Godholm managed to work through Grillby FK's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Michael Godholm dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The crowd rose to their feet as Doloures Price's Michael Godholm slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tommy Löv. That made the score 0-3 after 91 minutes of play. In the 97th minute, Michael Godholm reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tommy Löv. The goal made the score 0-4. When the final whistle sounded Doloures Price left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Grillby FK.
