Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Åke Soned took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute Olof Lund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Björn Högström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horred's Henrik Eliasson shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 5th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Karl-Ove Alrot but with some difficulty. If Olof Lund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvar Stål kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Alvar Stål hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Sven-Arne Smed blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Björn Högström having to make a save. In the 21st minute, Göran Kämpe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Karl-Ove Alrot was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 30 minutes into the match, Manchester City's goalkeeper Karl-Ove Alrot had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Göran Kämpe. A collision led to Horred getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Ingemar Bjurström hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Manchester City's Olof Lund sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Björn Högström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Daniel Vestberg fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Horred's protests and gave Daniel Vestberg a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Horred getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Daniel Vestberg hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Olof Lund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester City's supporters rose to their feet, but Olof Lund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Björn Högström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Manchester City booed when Horred was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvar Stål didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 46 played minutes Horred got a freekick which was hit by Filip Klintæus. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Olof Lund to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Horred's goal looked a bit too open when Olof Lund came free, but Björn Högström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Arne Smed received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Björn Högström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute Olof Lund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Björn Högström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Åke Soned kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Sven-Arne Smed sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Åke Soned left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Horred fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. With his leg Björn Högström managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Manchester City's Sven-Arne Smed fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Björn Högström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olof Lund, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Olof Lund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester City's supporters rose to their feet, but Olof Lund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Björn Högström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horred's Björn Högström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Horred from getting a goal against them. Manchester City's Karl-Ove Alrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göran Kämpe in the 84th minute of play. In the 86thth minute of the game Rolf Gunnarsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Horred's Björn Högström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Olof Lund might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Björn Högström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olof Lund ran back to his position shaking his head. Göran Kämpe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Ove Alrot having to interfere. Horred's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
