The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stig-Ove Säf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Tholsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Per-Arne Eriksson charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Per-Arne Eriksson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Tornado FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Per-Arne Eriksson hit a great ball. Leif Falkrans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig-Ove Säf having to interfere. If Lennart Danielsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rasmus Dahlquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pelle Wahlström having to interfere. After 26 minutes of play, Bandithagen's Leif Falkrans made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stig-Ove Säf was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 34 minutes, Jörn Böcklund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bandithagen and the Tornado FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute, Jörn Böcklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute Rasmus Dahlquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pelle Wahlström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pelle Wahlström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rasmus Dahlquist, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Jörn Böcklund hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After the first half Bandithagen were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rasmus Dahlquist to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Bandithagen's zone, Lennart Danielsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pelle Wahlström came out of the goal and Lennart Danielsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tornado FC's Stig-Ove Säf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leif Falkrans in the 56th minute of play. Kevin Tholsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stig-Ove Säf. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kevin Tholsson ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Bandithagen booed when Tornado FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henric Vennerberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henric Vennerberg kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Kevin Tholsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig-Ove Säf having to interfere. Lennart Danielsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Pelle Wahlström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Kevin Tholsson came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Bandithagen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kevin Tholsson couldn't finish the play. Torbjörn Tinglöv sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rasmus Dahlquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pelle Wahlström having to interfere. In the 95th minute Nils-Erik Browald suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Jörn Böcklund got his second yellow card in the match during the 95th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Jörn Böcklund kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
