Magnus Askelöf took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Örjan Mellin. Kvänum RK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Bengt-Rune Persson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Kvänum RK's Bengt-Rune Persson in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Skälbylunds IF's goalie prevented a goal. Jörn Sävström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Skälbylunds IF's Elof Gustafsson got control of the ball when Bengt-Åke Ekeroth tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bengt-Åke Ekeroth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Elof Gustafsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bengt-Rune Persson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arman Vacker's late challenge caught a Skälbylunds IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arman Vacker helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kvänum RK getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Arman Vacker hit a great ball. Magnus Askelöf took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Örjan Mellin. Kvänum RK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Bengt-Rune Persson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Elof Gustafsson, 1-0. Kvänum RK's Örjan Mellin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Näfver in the 38th minute of play. Jörn Sävström scored 1-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Örjan Mellin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elof Gustafsson made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Bengt-Åke Ekeroth sent off a good shot on target. Elof Gustafsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Rune Persson in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Bengt-Rune Persson made the kick off in the second half. Bengt-Rune Persson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Elof Gustafsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bengt-Rune Persson kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Åke Ekeroth in the 63rd minute of play forced Skälbylunds IF's goalkeeper Elof Gustafsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Per-Erik Bergfelt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 67th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elof Gustafsson. Skälbylunds IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bengt-Åke Ekeroth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bengt-Åke Ekeroth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elof Gustafsson having to interfere. 2-1 became the score in the 83rd minute when Bengt-Rune Persson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The Kvänum RK fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Kvänum RK's Bengt-Rune Persson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 90 played minutes Kvänum RK got a freekick which was hit by Jan Mellin. Skälbylunds IF's Leo Botvidsson got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leo Botvidsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Örjan Mellin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Åke Ekeroth in the 97th minute of play forced Skälbylunds IF's goalkeeper Elof Gustafsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kvänum RK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
