The supporters of Hällefors booed when Benknäcks FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Lundblad didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Hällefors's Kurt Hermansson got control of the ball when Torgny Kullander tried to sneak it across the goal line. Robin Sjöman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Sven Karlsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulf Nilsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 19 minutes, Robin Sjöman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hällefors's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robin Sjöman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robin Sjöman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sven Karlsson having to make a save. Robin Sjöman struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Sven Karlsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hällefors. The crowd rose to their feet as Benknäcks FF's Eric Linberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kurt Hermansson. That made the score 1-0 after 27 minutes of play. Kurt Hermansson made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Eric Linberg sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Benknäcks FF's Andy Sundberg got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Sven Karlsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin Sjöman in the 36th minute of play. Benknäcks FF's Sven Karlsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Nilsson in the 38th minute of play. Kurt Hermansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Oskar Gunnarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robin Sjöman was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Benknäcks FF's goalkeeper Sven Karlsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robin Sjöman. Börje Soned kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Robin Sjöman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven Karlsson having to interfere. Hällefors's Ulf Nilsson got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robin Sjöman struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Sven Karlsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hällefors. Kurt Hermansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Oskar Gunnarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robin Sjöman was extremely unlucky when he, in the 89th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Sven Karlsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulf Nilsson in the 90th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Benknäcks FF's zone, Ulf Nilsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven Karlsson came out of the goal and Ulf Nilsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Benknäcks FF support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
