Spectators: 7310 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sebastian Hägert started the match with the kick off. With a little luck, Backe's Jan-Olof Colin got control of the ball when Nils-Erik Nordkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Söderhamn booed when Backe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrik Hellkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 32 played minutes Söderhamn got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Erik Nordkvist. 34 minutes into the game, Björn Tönnberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Backe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Söderhamn the free kick. In the 34th match minute, Backe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Björn Tönnberg to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernt Hedlund in the 38th minute of play forced Backe's goalkeeper Jan-Olof Colin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Nils-Erik Nordkvist came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Söderhamn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nils-Erik Nordkvist couldn't finish the play. After having played for 45 minutes, Sebastian Hägert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Backe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Hägert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Allan Joensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan-Olof Colin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nils-Erik Nordkvist went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernt Hedlund to make the kick off. William Björling charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed William Björling the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Backe booed when Söderhamn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Söderhamn's Bernt Hedlund got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patrik Hellkvist's late challenge caught a Söderhamn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrik Hellkvist helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Söderhamn booed when Backe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrik Hellkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th match minute, Backe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Nyberg to maneuver through the defense. Nils-Erik Nordkvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jan-Olof Colin having to make a save. If Nils-Erik Nordkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Söderhamn's Bernt Hedlund in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Backe's goalie prevented a goal. Börje Thorsberg hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
