Tord Nilsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Georg Ström made a huge save. 29 minutes into the match, Midland's goal looked a bit too open when Tord Nilsson came free, but Georg Ström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bengt-Arne Norberg during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The wind increased when Tord Nilsson made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Midland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Sjöberg to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Tord Nilsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rejmes IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Tord Nilsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Georg Ström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Rejmes IK's Emil Nyberg got control of the ball when Gottfrid Pettersson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Georg Ström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tord Nilsson's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Per-Åke Pihlgren was shown his second yellow card after 58 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 59th match minute, Midland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Åke Pihlgren to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute, Tord Nilsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gösta Esbjörnsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Georg Ström. Midland's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Gottfrid Pettersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Rejmes IK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Midland were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
