The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ingemar Mogren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rikard Källberg in the 7th minute of play. Kenny Kolberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute of the match Jan-Ove Hellström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ingemar Mogren showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Junosuando's Ingemar Mogren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Tham in the 35th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Junosuando's zone, Otto Tham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ingemar Mogren came out of the goal and Otto Tham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hammar's Otto Tham got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ingemar Mogren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rikard Källberg in the 48th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Esbjörn Bäckman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Otto Tham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hammar's supporters rose to their feet, but Otto Tham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingemar Mogren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 63 played minutes, Junosuando's Stellan Överman shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kim Henriksson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Junosuando reached it. After 70 minutes, Otto Tham made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Junosuando's Ingemar Mogren tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 73rd minute Rikard Källberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingemar Mogren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rikard Källberg was extremely unlucky when he, in the 84th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With a little luck, Junosuando's Ingemar Mogren got control of the ball when Otto Tham tried to sneak it across the goal line. Otto Tham's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ingemar Mogren firmly grabbed it by the left post. Junosuando's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Otto Tham scored to the left of an out of position Ingemar Mogren, making the score, 0-4. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Rikard Källberg took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Ingemar Mogren to make any attempt to save it.
