The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by John Sundén during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 29 played minutes Karlstad got a freekick which was hit by Olof Mossberg. After a defensive mix-up in Staffanstorps FC's zone, Magnus Stigsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lukas Blomquist came out of the goal and Magnus Stigsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Otto Fagrell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lukas Blomquist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Staffanstorps FC's goal looked a bit too open when Otto Fagrell came free, but Lukas Blomquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Magnus Stigsson in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lukas Blomquist, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Otto Fagrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lukas Blomquist having to interfere. Aleksander Beckström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrik Hamnberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

If Otto Fagrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magnus Stigsson in the 66th minute of play forced Staffanstorps FC's goalkeeper Lukas Blomquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Karlstad's Magnus Stigsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lukas Blomquist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 69 played minutes Karlstad got a freekick which was hit by Charlie Nyström. Otto Fagrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute.
