Jimmie Falk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Adelsö IF. Södra Sunderbyn BF's Jimmie Falk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Södra Sunderbyn BF from getting a goal against them. After 10 played minutes Södra Sunderbyn BF got a freekick which was hit by Jens Gullesson. In the 11th minute Joacim Sundström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmie Falk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Joachim Kielberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Södra Sunderbyn BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Adelsö IF the free kick. A collision led to Södra Sunderbyn BF getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Joachim Kielberg hit a great ball. Ted Hamberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulrik Ahlroht having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Lars-Erik Ahlbeck cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ulrik Ahlroht was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Södra Sunderbyn BF's Jimmie Falk got control of the ball when Adrian Tinglöf tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Lars-Erik Ahlbeck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adelsö IF's Ulrik Ahlroht played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars-Erik Ahlbeck in the 31st minute of play. When Adrian Tinglöf came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Adelsö IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrian Tinglöf couldn't finish the play. Jimmie Falk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joacim Sundström in the 37th minute of play. If Ted Hamberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute Lars-Erik Ahlbeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulrik Ahlroht saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Joacim Sundström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joacim Sundström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Jimmie Falk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lars-Erik Ahlbeck was the one to do the kick off. Ulrik Ahlroht was a little too slow when Lars-Erik Ahlbeck got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emanuel Rudqvist during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Linus Bergqvist fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Södra Sunderbyn BF's protests and gave Linus Bergqvist a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Adelsö IF booed when Södra Sunderbyn BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Linus Bergqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Ted Hamberg could shoot a difficult shot in the 91st minute, which Ulrik Ahlroht however easily saved by the left post. In the 92nd match minute, Adelsö IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tord Sjöberg to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ted Hamberg got free with Ulrik Ahlroht in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jens Gullesson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Södra Sunderbyn BF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Södra Sunderbyn BF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
