Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karl Biörkman in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mark Ryberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Karl Biörkman struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Mark Ryberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ilsbo. Torbjörn Jansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, Sven-Oskar Andreasson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ilsbo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eskilstuna City the free kick. A collision led to Ilsbo getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Sven-Oskar Andreasson hit a great ball. Mattias Colin was a little too slow when Eric Fors got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 1-1. Mark Ryberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klas Nordström in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karl Biörkman was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Ilsbo's Arvin Drake got a free kick in the 58th minute. After 59 played minutes, Eskilstuna City's Herman Tholsson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mattias Colin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Eskilstuna City reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Ilsbo's zone, Eric Fors stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Colin came out of the goal and Eric Fors tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rdth minute of the game Karl Biörkman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eskilstuna City's Mark Ryberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Klas Nordström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Ryberg having to interfere. Eric Fors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Mattias Colin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Eskilstuna City booed when Ilsbo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arvin Drake didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mattias Colin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torbjörn Jansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Ilsbo played a much better game than Eskilstuna City and deserved their victory. The Eskilstuna City players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
