The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Patrick Harlén recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Johan Olsson. Patrick Harlén showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Nacka FF's Per-Olof Eriksson got a free kick in the 8th minute. Karl Thedin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kristian Samuelsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. In the 13th minute of the match Jan-Olof Abrahamsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kristian Samuelsson skillfully saved the ball. If Patrick Harlén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Per-Olof Eriksson during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nacka FF's Per-Olof Eriksson got his second yellow card of the match in the 30th minute. The referee ordered Per-Olof Eriksson off the ground. A collision led to Nacka FF getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Per-Olof Eriksson hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Nacka FF's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Thedin came free, but Kristian Samuelsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Lennart Larsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute, Carl Åhman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nacka FF's Patrick Harlén got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kristian Samuelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl Thedin in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

53 minutes into the game, Joacim Lindström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Johan Olsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nacka FF's Patrick Harlén got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, Nacka FF's goalkeeper Kristian Samuelsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Erik Olofsson. Kristian Samuelsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bengt-Åke Smefeldt in the 66th minute. Patrick Harlén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Olsson having to interfere. Lars-Erik Mikaelsson kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Carl Åhman struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Kristian Samuelsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Enhörna. Kristian Samuelsson made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Karl-Erik Olofsson sent off a good shot on target. Patrick Harlén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Johan Olsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 97 minutes on the clock, Lars-Erik Mikaelsson commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 96th minute, one of Nacka FF:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Nacka FF. The score was 2-1 after a penalty in the 99th minute, where Enhörna:s Jan-Olof Abrahamsson tricked Nacka FF:s Kristian Samuelsson with a difficult ball by the left post.
