Per-Arne Lindström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nils-Åke Granberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Calle Törnblom got free with Karl-Johan Hedman in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th minute, Jarl Samuelsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stockholm FC's Karl-Johan Hedman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattias Wennersten in the 16th minute of play. If Robert Sandström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nils-Åke Granberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Sandström in the 24th minute of play. Mattias Wennersten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Karl-Johan Hedman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Karl-Johan Hedman had great luck who in the 28thth minute grab hold of the ball when Mattias Wennersten from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Mattias Wennersten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Johan Hedman having to interfere. Karl-Johan Hedman made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Calle Törnblom sent off a good shot on target. Robert Sandström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jarl Samuelsson fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stockholm FC's protests and gave Jarl Samuelsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th match minute, Stockholm FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarl Samuelsson to maneuver through the defense. Per-Arne Lindström might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nils-Åke Granberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Per-Arne Lindström ran back to his position shaking his head.

After 53 minutes of play, Bunkeflostrand's Mattias Wennersten made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karl-Johan Hedman was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 58th minute, Per-Arne Lindström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stockholm FC's Per-Arne Lindström got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robert Sandström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nils-Åke Granberg having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Bunkeflostrand's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Per-Arne Lindström fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Nils-Åke Granberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Sandström in the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Bunkeflostrand's goalkeeper Nils-Åke Granberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Karl-Johan Hedman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Wennersten in the 75th minute of play. After some careless play in the Stockholm FC defense, Mattias Wennersten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karl-Johan Hedman. The Stockholm FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karl-Johan Hedman should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Stockholm FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bunkeflostrand.
