Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Åseda's Anton Broberg started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes, Såtenäs's Reine Lindström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gilbert Löfkvist came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Såtenäs reached it. In the 7th minute, Arne Lennartsson made a precise shot to the right of John Nyberg. Såtenäs's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Bernt Bure charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernt Bure the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After recieving a nice pass, Såtenäs's Michael Göransson tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Anton Broberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Nyberg having to interfere. Vilgot Almkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Löfkvist having to interfere. If Arne Lennartsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anton Broberg in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck John Nyberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. John Nyberg made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Arne Lennartsson sent off a good shot on target. Rickard Pedersson struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. John Nyberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åseda.

The wind increased when Vilgot Almkvist made the kick off in the second half. John Nyberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anton Broberg's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Gilbert Löfkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilgot Almkvist in the 56th minute of play. Arne Lennartsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. John Nyberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arne Lennartsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Richard Waller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Gilbert Löfkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilgot Almkvist in the 72nd minute of play forced Åseda's goalkeeper Gilbert Löfkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 76 minutes, Reine Lindström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Såtenäs and the Åseda players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Såtenäs's Reine Lindström got a free kick in the 76th minute. 80 minutes into the game, Åseda's Arne Lennartsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. John Nyberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Bernt Bure hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 85th play minute Richard Waller came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gilbert Löfkvist. 3-1. When Åseda's Anton Broberg in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Såtenäs's goalie prevented a goal. Arne Lennartsson got in the 90th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but John Nyberg handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Jakob Hermansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Åseda's Gilbert Löfkvist got control of the ball when Richard Waller tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Åseda fans cheered their team off the field, for while Såtenäs had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
