The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fredrik Valrot during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Lingo IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fredrik Valrot to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Lingo IK's zone, Malte Petersson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ted Haegg came out of the goal and Malte Petersson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Konrad Wennerström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 28 minutes into the match, Hopkvarn if's goal looked a bit too open when Orvar Dahlman came free, but Jan Hedlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orvar Dahlman in the 46th minute of play forced Hopkvarn if's goalkeeper Jan Hedlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Orvar Dahlman made the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Orvar Dahlman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Hedlund. Hopkvarn if's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Orvar Dahlman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Fredrik Valrot recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orvar Dahlman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Hedlund having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Lingo IK's goalkeeper Ted Haegg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roland Arvidsson. 81 minutes into the game, Benjamin Sellberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jan Hedlund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hopkvarn if's Jan Hedlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Sellberg in the 87th minute of play. After 88 minutes, Malte Petersson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hopkvarn if and the Lingo IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Malte Petersson hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. If Konrad Wennerström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Lingo IK were victorious despite being under pressure from Hopkvarn if for much of the match.
