Spectators: 5501 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1001, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alex Söderström started the match with the kick off. Jörn Strömberg kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Helge Hagström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pontus Fribäck having to interfere. Helge Hagström in the 9thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Pontus Fribäck, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bertil Lindell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klas Bäckström having to interfere. Bertil Lindell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Klas Bäckström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martin Abrahamsson's late challenge caught a Bastuträsk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Abrahamsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th match minute, IFK Österbymo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Abrahamsson to maneuver through the defense. Bertil Lindell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. IFK Österbymo's Klas Bäckström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pål Nord in the 21st minute of play. Helge Hagström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pontus Fribäck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Söderström in the 28th minute of play. After having played for 35 minutes, Alex Söderström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IFK Österbymo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Söderström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. IFK Österbymo's Christian Bergendahl pulled a muscle in his leg after 40 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Leif Blom charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leif Blom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of IFK Österbymo booed when Bastuträsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif Blom didn't get a good kick on the ball. Klas Bäckström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertil Lindell in the 43rd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

55 minutes into the match, IFK Österbymo's goal looked a bit too open when Bertil Lindell came free, but Klas Bäckström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vilhelm Skoglund during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to IFK Österbymo getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Vilhelm Skoglund hit a great ball. Bertil Lindell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Klas Bäckström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, one of IFK Österbymo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for IFK Österbymo. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Klas Bäckström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After having played for 84 minutes, Pål Nord managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bastuträsk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pål Nord was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Bertil Lindell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bastuträsk's Pontus Fribäck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilhelm Skoglund in the 100th minute of play. Bastuträsk's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
