Bertil Lindell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Ingvar Flinck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Bastuträsk's Pontus Fribäck got control of the ball when Birger Blomquist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Birger Blomquist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Pontus Fribäck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Birger Blomquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pontus Fribäck having to interfere. Pontus Fribäck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Ivarsson in the 27th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabian Ivarsson in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pontus Fribäck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Börje Blixt hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Pontus Fribäck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabian Ivarsson's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. When Leif Blom fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bastuträsk's protests and gave Leif Blom a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bastuträsk getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Leif Blom hit a great ball. Börje Blixt hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Pontus Fribäck made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Birger Blomquist sent off a good shot on target. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
After 56 played minutes Bastuträsk got a freekick which was hit by Leif Blom. Sorsele's Wilhelm Mårtensson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pontus Fribäck in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Fabian Ivarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the match, Fabian Ivarsson notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Bastuträsk's Pontus Fribäck. Pontus Fribäck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Bertil Lindell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bastuträsk's supporters rose to their feet, but Bertil Lindell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
