Spectators: 7226 (Terracing: 5492, Seating: 1684, VIP seats: 50) When Leif Hedlund fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Championer & Meloner's protests and gave Leif Hedlund a yellow card for diving instead. After 2 played minutes Championer & Meloner got a freekick which was hit by Leif Hedlund. After having played for 7 minutes, Alex Söderström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IFK Österbymo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Söderström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th minute Anders Bennet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klas Bäckström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Championer & Meloner's Anders Bennet got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Nyberg hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. A collision led to IFK Österbymo getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Christian Bergendahl hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, Championer & Meloner's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Söderström came free, but Ingvar Alefors reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alex Söderström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Helge Hagström managed to get in a good position for a shot. IFK Österbymo's supporters rose to their feet, but Helge Hagström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ingvar Alefors breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Helge Hagström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingvar Alefors having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of IFK Österbymo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Championer & Meloner:s goal. The goalkeeper, Klas Bäckström, was totally fooled by Championer & Meloner's Roger Larsson, who 46 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Helge Hagström in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ingvar Alefors, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Helge Hagström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ingvar Alefors having to interfere. Valdemar Deckbergh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Klas Bäckström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Anders Bennet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anders Bennet in the 73rd minute of play forced IFK Österbymo's goalkeeper Klas Bäckström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdemar Deckbergh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Klas Bäckström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Championer & Meloner's Ingvar Alefors proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Championer & Meloner from getting a goal against them. Ingvar Alefors made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Helge Hagström sent off a good shot on target. After 81 played minutes Championer & Meloner got a freekick which was hit by Leif Hedlund. The audience thought a goal was coming when Helge Hagström got free with Ingvar Alefors in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Championer & Meloner's Ingvar Alefors got control of the ball when Helge Hagström tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Helge Hagström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of IFK Österbymo booed when Championer & Meloner was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif Hedlund didn't get a good kick on the ball. IFK Österbymo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
