Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mats Fanström took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th match minute, Mölndal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anders Karlsson to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, Mölndal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mats Fanström came free, but Harry Hedvall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 6 minutes of play, Timmernabben IFK's Mats Fanström made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harry Hedvall was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Patrik Håkansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Timmernabben IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrik Håkansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harry Hedvall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Freddie Berggren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mats Fanström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 24 minutes, Olov Dusett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mölndal FC and the Timmernabben IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Timmernabben IFK booed when Mölndal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olov Dusett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Håkan Gunnarsson struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Jim Lindqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mölndal FC. Aaron Alkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Jim Lindqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harry Hedvall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mats Fanström, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Freddie Berggren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Timmernabben IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Freddie Berggren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harry Hedvall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddie Berggren in the 45th minute of play forced Mölndal FC's goalkeeper Harry Hedvall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Timmernabben IFK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aaron Alkvist to strike the kick off in the second half. The corner ended in Anders Karlsson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Timmernabben IFK's Jim Lindqvist did a great save. A collision led to Timmernabben IFK getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Stig-Åke Apelquist hit a great ball. After 59 played minutes, Mölndal FC's Håkan Gunnarsson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jim Lindqvist came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mölndal FC reached it. 62 minutes into the game, Stig-Åke Apelquist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Timmernabben IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mölndal FC the free kick. Aaron Alkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Jim Lindqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Michael Söderberg during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 83rd minute of the game. One of Timmernabben IFK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mölndal FC:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddie Berggren in the 90th minute of play forced Mölndal FC's goalkeeper Harry Hedvall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mats Fanström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mölndal FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty! In the 99th match minute, Timmernabben IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Michael Söderberg to maneuver through the defense. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Timmernabben IFK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
