Spectators: 6672 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 0) Timmernabben IFK's Mats Fanström started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Karl-Ove Axelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 12 played minutes Lavsjön got a freekick which was hit by Joachim Qvalfeldt. Mats Fanström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Petter Berg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mats Fanström in the 18th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Mats Fanström put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Petter Berg. 25 minutes into the game, Johannes Nyberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lavsjön's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Timmernabben IFK the free kick. A collision led to Lavsjön getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Johannes Nyberg hit a great ball. If Mats Fanström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petter Berg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mats Fanström, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Freddie Berggren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Petter Berg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Lavsjön's goal looked a bit too open when Mats Fanström came free, but Petter Berg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mats Fanström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lavsjön's goalkeeper Petter Berg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Timmernabben IFK were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Johannes Nyberg to make the kick off. Joachim Qvalfeldt hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hannes Damm in the 56th minute of play forced Lavsjön's goalkeeper Petter Berg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mats Fanström succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 57th playminute. If Mats Fanström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bengt-Åke Bäckman charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bengt-Åke Bäckman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 61st minute, Bengt-Åke Bäckman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th play minute Mats Fanström came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Petter Berg. 0-4. In the 75th match minute, Lavsjön was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Ove Axelsson to maneuver through the defense. Mats Fanström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, Timmernabben IFK's Jon Johnsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Petter Berg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mats Fanström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petter Berg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. After some careless play in the Lavsjön defense, Mats Fanström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Petter Berg. The Lavsjön fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Petter Berg should have stopped the shot. If Mats Fanström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddie Berggren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petter Berg having to interfere. When the match was over Timmernabben IFK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lavsjön throughout the match.
