The supporters of Mölndal FC booed when Lavsjön was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Ove Axelsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Håkan Gunnarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aaron Alkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Håkan Gunnarsson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lavsjön's Petter Berg didn't even have to move. Johannes Nyberg hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the game, Mölndal FC's Olov Dusett nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Petter Berg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Olov Dusett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petter Berg having to interfere. Per Lidberg kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Aaron Alkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Håkan Gunnarsson succeeded in the game's 27th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. Petter Berg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Alkvist in the 30th minute of the match. Håkan Gunnarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Petter Berg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olov Dusett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petter Berg having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olov Dusett in the 40th minute of play forced Lavsjön's goalkeeper Petter Berg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lavsjön's goalkeeper Petter Berg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Mölndal FC's Olov Dusett got a free kick in the 44th minute. Mölndal FC's Harry Hedvall proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Mölndal FC from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

51 minutes into the match, Lavsjön's goalkeeper Petter Berg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aaron Alkvist. After a defensive mix-up in Lavsjön's zone, Aaron Alkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petter Berg came out of the goal and Aaron Alkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Olov Dusett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mölndal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olov Dusett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olov Dusett could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Petter Berg made a huge save. Aaron Alkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petter Berg having to interfere. Mölndal FC's Harry Hedvall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Ove Axelsson in the 65th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Lavsjön's zone, Aaron Alkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petter Berg came out of the goal and Aaron Alkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anders Karlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Petter Berg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Håkan Gunnarsson struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Petter Berg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mölndal FC. Harry Hedvall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göran Tingelholm, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Petter Berg came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Mölndal FC's Olov Dusett. But to his dismay, Olov Dusett quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Anders Karlsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Håkan Gunnarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ulf Burman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With his leg Petter Berg managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Mölndal FC's Ulf Burman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Tingelholm in the 94th minute of play forced Mölndal FC's goalkeeper Harry Hedvall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Lavsjön fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mölndal FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
