The referee ignored Åmmeberg's protests and gave Börge Holmgren a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st match minute, Åmmeberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Börge Holmgren to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute Robert Lindqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralf Myr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Håkan Säv kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Reine Vassenius. That made the score 2-4 in the 97 minute of play.
