Spectators: 7275 (Terracing: 5458, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dan Utter kicked off to start the match. Magnus Vennerkvist made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Olov Backlund sent off a good shot on target. Olov Backlund hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After 7 played minutes Slite got a freekick which was hit by Olov Backlund. 9 minutes into the match, Slite's goal looked a bit too open when Nicklas Hansson came free, but Stefan Siggesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fredrik Lång fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Siggesson having to interfere. Stefan Siggesson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicklas Hansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 played minutes Slite got a freekick which was hit by Marcus Nordin. Slite's Stefan Siggesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Magnus Uter in the 22nd minute of play. After 24 minutes, Per-Åke Arvidsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Slite and the Antica players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes Slite got a freekick which was hit by Per-Åke Arvidsson. 27 minutes into the match, Slite's goal looked a bit too open when Nicklas Hansson came free, but Stefan Siggesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lennart Håning hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see Antica's Emil Enström in action when he in the 35th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Magnus Uter in the 40th minute of play forced Slite's goalkeeper Stefan Siggesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stefan Siggesson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicklas Hansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. If Olof Strömberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olof Strömberg got free with Magnus Vennerkvist in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olof Strömberg made a kick off. Slite's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Fredrik Lång scored to the left of an out of position Stefan Siggesson, making the score, 0-1. Stefan Siggesson made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Karl-Magnus Uter sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th minute, Olof Strömberg made a precise shot to the right of Magnus Vennerkvist. Antica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 69th minute, Dan Utter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Antica booed when Slite was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Nordin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Per-Åke Arvidsson kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Antica defense, Olof Strömberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Magnus Vennerkvist. The Antica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Magnus Vennerkvist should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicklas Hansson during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Olov Backlund came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Slite fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olov Backlund couldn't finish the play. Slite's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
