Nils-Emil Runberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Krister Lundqvist stood somewhat misplaced when Ronny Lundberg came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 18 minute. Torgny Ivarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronny Lundberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Krister Lundqvist made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Ronny Lundberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ålem FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronny Lundberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Krister Lundqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Ålem FK's Ronny Lundberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Krister Lundqvist. That made the score 2-0 after 29 minutes of play. Krister Lundqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Torsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven-Erik Ödmann during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th match minute, Hammarby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Erik Ödmann to maneuver through the defense. When Erik Löv fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ålem FK's protests and gave Erik Löv a yellow card for diving instead. Krister Lundqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Torsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Krister Lundqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronny Lundberg in the 69th minute of play. When Emanuel Torsberg came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Ålem FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Torsberg couldn't finish the play. After 78 minutes, Edvard Algren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hammarby and the Ålem FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 78 played minutes Hammarby got a freekick which was hit by Edvard Algren. Krister Lundqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronny Lundberg in the 83rd minute of the match. Sven-Erik Ödmann was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
