Rune Söderberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Ekelund having to interfere. If Daniel Löfkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Löfkvist in the 23rd minute of play forced Anfield Wonder Boys's goalkeeper Jan-Åke Söder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Löfkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Jan-Åke Söder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rune Söderberg in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lucas Ekelund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jan-Åke Söder made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Orvar Åström sent off a good shot on target. Jan-Åke Söder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Löfkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Per Dahlbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Lucas Ekelund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th minute, John Hård hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Löfkvist to make the kick off. Jan-Åke Söder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Löfkvist in the 54th minute of play. Valentin Bolin's late challenge caught a Huddungeby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentin Bolin helped the player get up and apologised. 58 minutes into the match, Daniel Löfkvist notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Anfield Wonder Boys's Jan-Åke Söder. Jan-Åke Söder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Huddungeby's Orvar Åström got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Per Dahlbom came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Anfield Wonder Boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per Dahlbom couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orvar Åström in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan-Åke Söder saved Anfield Wonder Boys from getting behind. Per Dahlbom's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 83rdth minute, Lucas Ekelund skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Orvar Åström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 86 minutes into the match, Anfield Wonder Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Löfkvist came free, but Jan-Åke Söder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
