After a defensive mix-up in Falkenbergs FF's zone, Uno Östlund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Uter came out of the goal and Uno Östlund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dan Uter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uno Östlund in the 37th minute of play. Uno Östlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jens Hansson was extremely unlucky when he, in the 41st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After some careless play in the Falkenbergs FF defense, Claes Mossberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dan Uter. The Falkenbergs FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dan Uter should have stopped the shot. Uno Östlund in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dan Uter, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jens Hansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dan Uter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claes Mossberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Claes Mossberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dan Uter. That made the score 0-2 in the 74 minute of play. Magne Brogren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens Hansson in the 77th minute of the match. Jens Hansson struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Magne Brogren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Falkenbergs FF. When Falkenbergs FF's Kenneth Kihlman in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Kenneth Kihlman dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in.
