Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th minute of the match Christian Jönsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kurt Hedin skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kåre Samuelsson during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Lerum:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Runhällen BF:s goal. If Lennart Julin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kurt Hedin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lennart Julin in the 21st minute of play. After 21 played minutes Lerum got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Hansson. If Isaac Stenman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the game, Isaac Stenman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Dag Fågel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34th minute, Lennart Julin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Lennart Julin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Runhällen BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Lennart Julin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kurt Hedin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lerum's Melker Brandin got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Melker Brandin to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Melker Brandin in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dag Fågel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 1-2 became the score in the 55th minute when Nils Pilblad elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 63rd minute of the match Kåre Samuelsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dag Fågel skillfully saved the ball. In the 68thth minute of the game Lennart Julin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lerum's Kurt Hedin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 70 played minutes Lerum got a freekick which was hit by Stig-Åke Sundberg. 72 minutes in the game Lars Björnberg after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Kurt Hedin. A very good opportunity. The long shot by Christian Jönsson in the 81st minute really tested Kurt Hedin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Lennart Julin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. Runhällen BF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 87 minutes into the match, Runhällen BF's Nils Pilblad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kurt Hedin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Melker Brandin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isaac Stenman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dag Fågel having to interfere. Melker Brandin spun around in front of the goal 97 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Runhällen BF's goal. The Runhällen BF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
