After a rather tough play, Brunskog's Björn Hedbom got a free kick in the 2nd minute. 6 minutes into the match, Brunskog's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Wikander came free, but Jonas Blom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Björn Hedbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Åke Brask tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th match minute, Brunskog was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tim Lindström to maneuver through the defense. Jonas Blom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Ove Olsmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Jan Wikander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Brunskog's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Ove Olsmann came free, but Jonas Blom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Björn Hedbom got free with Åke Brask in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. William Linberg kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. When Egon Mattsson fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brunskog's protests and gave Egon Mattsson a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mongo FC booed when Brunskog was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egon Mattsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan Wikander in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonas Blom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Sven-Ove Olsmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Tim Lindström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Olov Ahlerot kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Olov Ahlerot received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Åke Brask tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tim Lindström made the kick off in the second half. Åke Brask showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olov Ahlerot, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. When Olov Ahlerot came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Brunskog fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olov Ahlerot couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Lindström in the 58th minute of play forced Mongo FC's goalkeeper Åke Brask to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tim Lindström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sven-Ove Olsmann in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonas Blom, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Mongo FC were awarded a corner in the 81th minute after Brunskog's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Åke Björck took the corner. The corner led Mongo FC's Åke Björck to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonas Blom despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jan Wikander struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Jonas Blom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mongo FC. 87 minutes into the game, Mongo FC's Sven-Ove Olsmann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonas Blom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. The Mongo FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
