Joakim Albom's late challenge caught a Horda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joakim Albom helped the player get up and apologised. Joakim Albom hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Arvid Brolin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Gert Lövkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC United's Gert Lövkvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save FC United from getting a goal against them. Jarl Hökkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Lövkvist having to interfere. Gert Lövkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arvid Brolin in the 29th minute of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Hannes Wikander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Horda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hannes Wikander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to FC United getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Michael Gadd hit a great ball. Jan-Olof Qvalfeldt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joakim Albom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Joakim Albom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Horda's goal looked a bit too open when Joakim Albom came free, but Jan-Olof Qvalfeldt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joakim Albom to strike the kick off in the second half. Jan-Ove Boman hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After having played for 55 minutes, Jarl Hökkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Horda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarl Hökkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gert Lövkvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jarl Hökkvist went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Jarl Hökkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 75 minutes, Joakim Albom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When Jarl Hökkvist came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Horda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jarl Hökkvist couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarl Hökkvist in the 91st minute of play forced FC United's goalkeeper Gert Lövkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Horda had won after a very even match.
