The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alf Nordmark took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eric Pilgren. Hannes Haraldsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Eric Ahlfors tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gårdsjö FF's Eric Ahlfors played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hannes Haraldsson in the 14th minute of play. If Thomas Hägert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute Hannes Haraldsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Ahlfors saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ola Finman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Eric Ahlfors tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bajen Boys's goalkeeper Eric Pilgren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hannes Haraldsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ola Finman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Eric Ahlfors made a huge save. 37 minutes into the game, Gårdsjö FF's Thomas Hägert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eric Pilgren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Gårdsjö FF's Henry Söderberg got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 46 minutes into the game, Ivan Näfver was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bajen Boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gårdsjö FF the free kick. A collision led to Bajen Boys getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Ivan Näfver hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hannes Haraldsson was the one to do the kick off. Eric Ahlfors showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hannes Haraldsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 60th match minute, Gårdsjö FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jack Kilman to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Bajen Boys getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Tomas Lundström hit a great ball. Bajen Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ola Finman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ola Finman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gårdsjö FF's Eric Ahlfors played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ola Finman in the 91st minute of play. Hannes Haraldsson's late challenge caught a Gårdsjö FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hannes Haraldsson helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 98 minutes, Ola Finman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bajen Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ola Finman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gårdsjö FF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
