Johannes Ek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 25 minutes, Ian Nordgren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lödöse IK and the Stora Höga players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Stora Höga booed when Lödöse IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. The Lödöse IK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After the first half Lödöse IK were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kent Lundgren to strike the kick off in the second half. Urban Lindberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Stora Höga getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Kent Lundgren hit a great ball. If Urban Lindberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claes Sjöberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Helander in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of Stora Höga booed when Lödöse IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sture Tolsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Kjell-Arne Sjöman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sture Tolsson was shown his second yellow card after 89 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After having played for 96 minutes, Urban Lindberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lödöse IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urban Lindberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lödöse IK were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Stora Höga's much stronger midfield.
