The supporters of MK Dons booed when Hestrafors IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Åke Forsman didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ivar Fagrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Hestrafors IF booed when MK Dons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frans Wennerberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute Gunnar Åberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Lundberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gunnar Åberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hestrafors IF's Oskar Forsberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Hestrafors IF from getting a goal against them. If John Vedholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Gunnar Åberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Georg Sundberg kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Oskar Forsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pontus Ivarsson in the 42nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Hestrafors IF's zone, Pontus Ivarsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oskar Forsberg came out of the goal and Pontus Ivarsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gunnar Åberg to make the kick off. Gabriel Lundberg made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when John Vedholm sent off a good shot on target. Gunnar Åberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Lundberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Gabriel Lundberg didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Hestrafors IF's John Vedholm shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivar Fagrell in the 76th minute of play forced Hestrafors IF's goalkeeper Oskar Forsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivar Fagrell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oskar Forsberg having to make a save. If Ivar Fagrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. John Vedholm took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gabriel Lundberg. Gabriel Lundberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. John Vedholm was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 86th minute. Hestrafors IF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Kjell Wållander's late challenge caught a MK Dons's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kjell Wållander helped the player get up and apologised. Pontus Ivarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivar Fagrell in the 92nd minute of play forced Hestrafors IF's goalkeeper Oskar Forsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oskar Forsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frans Wennerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. If Ivar Fagrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The MK Dons supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Hestrafors IF's performance. The match ended with a win for Hestrafors IF.
