Spectators: 6966 (Terracing: 5466, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) Kurt Hylander started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Uno Lundin kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in TRELLEBORGS FF's zone, Kurt Lundberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mattias Molin came out of the goal and Kurt Lundberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute, Kurt Hylander ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kent Josefsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Mattias Molin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Georg Vallander in the 32nd minute of the match. Kurt Lundberg took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mattias Molin. Mattias Molin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After having played for 41 minutes, Kurt Lundberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hjärnarp FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kurt Lundberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Kurt Lundberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mattias Molin having to interfere. Kent Josefsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Hylander in the 54th minute of play. A collision led to Hjärnarp FK getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Dan Asmundsson hit a great ball. Ingmar Nilsson charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ingmar Nilsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ingmar Nilsson kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Hubert Sjöö recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 68 minutes into the game, TRELLEBORGS FF's Hubert Sjöö nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kent Josefsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Kurt Lundberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Mattias Molin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mattias Molin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kurt Lundberg went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Hylander in the 82nd minute of play forced Hjärnarp FK's goalkeeper Kent Josefsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hjärnarp FK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sture Arhenius was slow to take the kick. During this time TRELLEBORGS FF's players had a chance to rest. The corner led TRELLEBORGS FF's Kent Enström to fire away a dangerous shot which Kent Josefsson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kent Josefsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Hylander, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Mattias Molin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Börje Skytt went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. For all the effort they put into the match, the TRELLEBORGS FF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hjärnarp FK.
