Everöd IK's Gunnar Brenner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malte Clementsson in the 20th minute of play. After 23 played minutes, Inter FK's Jonas Classon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gunnar Brenner came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Inter FK reached it. Roy Norberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristoffer Ivarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute Malte Clementsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Brenner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Kilstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roy Norberg having to interfere. If Kristoffer Ivarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kristoffer Ivarsson was the one to do the kick off. Everöd IK's David Kilstedt got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Inter FK's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
