Sven-Edvin Widberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Lövet IF's players had a chance to rest. After 10 minutes, Kåre Lundström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lövet IF and the Röstånga players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lövet IF's Kåre Lundström got a free kick in the 10th minute. Stefan Wallman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig-Ove Barck, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Stig-Ove Barck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Stefan Wallman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Lövet IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Kåre Lundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Lövet IF's zone, Claes Lundberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stefan Wallman came out of the goal and Claes Lundberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Claes Lundberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joacim Tinglöf got free with Max Gallin in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lövet IF's Stefan Wallman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Ove Barck in the 61st minute of play. During the 62nd minute of the match Claes Lundberg completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Claes Lundberg a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 88th match minute, Lövet IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henric Norberg to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Röstånga's zone, Joacim Tinglöf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Max Gallin came out of the goal and Joacim Tinglöf tried to chip the ball over his head.
