Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arne Ek started the match with the kick off. Jon Backman's late challenge caught a Tavsancali Spor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jon Backman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th match minute, Thames Ironworks FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jon Backman to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arne Ek in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Torsten Lundhberg saved Thames Ironworks FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Thames Ironworks FC's Leonardo Käcker got a free kick in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Thames Ironworks FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arne Ek came free, but Torsten Lundhberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 10 minutes, Sven Jespersson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thames Ironworks FC and the Tavsancali Spor players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 10th match minute, Thames Ironworks FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Jespersson to maneuver through the defense. After 13 minutes, Gustav Nyberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thames Ironworks FC and the Tavsancali Spor players grew even worse after the yellow card. 19 minutes into the game, Olof Linberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thames Ironworks FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tavsancali Spor the free kick. In the 19th minute, Olof Linberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Melker Fogel from long distance, 20 minutes into the match, got Torsten Lundhberg's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After some careless play in the Tavsancali Spor defense, Gustaf Andreasson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michel Kuse. The Tavsancali Spor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Michel Kuse should have stopped the shot. If Jon Backman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jon Backman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Michel Kuse read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. When Per Winström came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Tavsancali Spor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per Winström couldn't finish the play. Tavsancali Spor's Per Winström got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arne Ek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Torsten Lundhberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustaf Andreasson made a kick off. Gustaf Andreasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Kuse having to interfere. Arne Ek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 61st minute, Gustaf Andreasson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Michel Kuse. The goal made the score 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Winström in the 65th minute of play forced Thames Ironworks FC's goalkeeper Torsten Lundhberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arne Ek might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Torsten Lundhberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arne Ek ran back to his position shaking his head. Per Winström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Lundhberg having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Thames Ironworks FC's Sven Jespersson got a free kick in the 71st minute. Jens-Ove Boström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Kuse having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tavsancali Spor's zone, Jon Backman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michel Kuse came out of the goal and Jon Backman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustaf Andreasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
