Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) 3 minutes into the match, Sanjoo’s FF's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaf Andreasson came free, but Vilgot Ekman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thames Ironworks FC's Torsten Lundhberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Ugla in the 5th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Brian Ugla's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Torsten Lundhberg was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Nils Tolsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Torsten Lundhberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Thames Ironworks FC's zone, Nils Tolsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torsten Lundhberg came out of the goal and Nils Tolsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Sanjoo’s FF's Hugo Ahlqvist in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Thames Ironworks FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Nils Tolsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Ingvar Blomberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Thames Ironworks FC's Jens-Ove Boström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vilgot Ekman. That made the score 1-0 after 37 minutes of play. Kåre Henriksson charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kåre Henriksson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st minute, Kåre Henriksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sanjoo’s FF were furious when Kåre Henriksson was red carded, 44 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, Sanjoo’s FF's Kåre Henriksson got a free kick in the 45th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonathan Åman to strike the kick off in the second half. Hugo Ahlqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Torsten Lundhberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Thames Ironworks FC's Olof Linberg got a free kick in the 56th minute. The audience was convinced that Hugo Ahlqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Torsten Lundhberg was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 61st play minute Hugo Ahlqvist came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Torsten Lundhberg. 1-1. Hugo Ahlqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Thames Ironworks FC's zone, Nils Tolsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torsten Lundhberg came out of the goal and Nils Tolsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Hugo Ahlqvist came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Sanjoo’s FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Ahlqvist couldn't finish the play. Hugo Ahlqvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Torsten Lundhberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Hugo Ahlqvists short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Torsten Lundhberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sanjoo’s FF's Nils Tolsson got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nils Tolsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Torsten Lundhberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Sanjoo’s FF's Hugo Ahlqvist ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Torsten Lundhberg. Torsten Lundhberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. In the 90th minute, Nils Tolsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Nils Tolsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nils Tolsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Lundhberg having to interfere. Sanjoo’s FF played a much better game than Thames Ironworks FC and deserved their victory. The Thames Ironworks FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
