He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Piteå reached it. Herman Lindgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Ahlquist in the 36th minute of the match. Joakim Drewitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Otto Sandell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Piteå's zone, Joakim Drewitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Otto Sandell came out of the goal and Joakim Drewitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Börje Browald charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Börje Browald the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th match minute, Piteå was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Börje Browald to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nils Ahlquist to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the game, Piteå's Ivar Rolfsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Herman Lindgren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Charlie Åström hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Filip Hultman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Algot Lundström, 66 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Otto Sandell was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Malcolm Snell showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 69 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malcolm Snell in the 74th minute of play forced Piteå's goalkeeper Otto Sandell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
