Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5250, Seating: 1610, VIP seats: 140) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tommy Alrot started the match with the kick off. Börje Hultin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Folke Jonsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of IFK Vassbotten booed when Skarplöt FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Månsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute, Börje Hultin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Björn Bern fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Jonsson having to interfere. Christopher Hökqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Alrot in the 14th minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Börje Hultin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IFK Vassbotten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Börje Hultin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Björn Bern sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Folke Jonsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Börje Hultin in the 29th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the game, Karl-Ove Hamnberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IFK Vassbotten's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skarplöt FF the free kick. In the 32nd minute, Karl-Ove Hamnberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nils Asmundsson struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Christopher Hökqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skarplöt FF. IFK Vassbotten's André Bäckström got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 49th minute Björn Bern shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Jonsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Björn Bern stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Karl-Ove Hamnberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th match minute, IFK Vassbotten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Bäckström to maneuver through the defense. Börje Hultin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Folke Jonsson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Christopher Hökqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Alrot, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. If Tommy Alrot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Björn Bern had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Skarplöt FF's Folke Jonsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Björn Bern in the 79th minute of play. Christopher Hökqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikael Erserman in the 81st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Skarplöt FF's zone, Björn Bern stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Folke Jonsson came out of the goal and Björn Bern tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. IFK Vassbotten's Björn Bern got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Börje Hultin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Börje Hultin came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the IFK Vassbotten fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Börje Hultin couldn't finish the play. Tommy Alrot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Skarplöt FF succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though IFK Vassbotten had controlled the match.
