Agne Bäckman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Carlsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Agne Bäckman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Max Albäck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FCR Musta Rats's Fredric Lång suffered a sore thigh after 17 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 21 minutes into the match, FCR Musta Rats's goal looked a bit too open when Kim Ugla came free, but Agne Bäckman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kennet Ros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26 played minutes Sollerön got a freekick which was hit by Gustav Askestät. Sten Dalström, 27 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Kennet Ross short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Dag Ivarsson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. FCR Musta Rats's Kennet Ros got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th match minute, Sollerön was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kim Ugla to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Sten Dalström in the 39th minute really tested Dag Ivarsson's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingvar Carlsson in the 42nd minute of play forced FCR Musta Rats's goalkeeper Agne Bäckman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kennet Ros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Max Albäck to make the kick off. Kennet Ros scored 1-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dag Ivarsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 62 minutes into the match, FCR Musta Rats's goalkeeper Agne Bäckman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Max Albäck. Ingvar Carlsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agne Bäckman having to interfere. In the 67th minute Kennet Ros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dag Ivarsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Max Albäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Agne Bäckman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agne Bäckman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Max Albäck in the 92nd minute. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FCR Musta Rats! The referee gave Sollerön a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vilhelm Klemensson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FCR Musta Rats's Agne Bäckman. 1-1. Sollerön were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
