When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Karl Abrahamsson took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Kasper Friberger to make any attempt to save it. After 6 played minutes Väja got a freekick which was hit by Leo Höijer. Karl-Åke Holmberg hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Kasper Friberger was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Karl Abrahamsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Karl Abrahamsson really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The supporters of New Orleans Saints booed when Väja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo Bengtsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. New Orleans Saints's attentive Simon Jonsson managed to snatch the ball when Bo Bengtsson made a throw-in in the 28th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, New Orleans Saints's Nils-Emil Ahlfors got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 34th minute Karl Abrahamsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kasper Friberger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Väja booed when New Orleans Saints was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Emil Ahlfors didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olle Ekblom, 62 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Simon Jonsson fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 74th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. Sven-Edvin Hedbom hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Hubert Eckegren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sture Alkvist having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in New Orleans Saints's zone, Karl Abrahamsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kasper Friberger came out of the goal and Karl Abrahamsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kasper Friberger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl Abrahamsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 91st minute, Karl Abrahamsson made a precise shot to the right of Kasper Friberger. New Orleans Saints's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Filip Alberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Karl Abrahamsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Väja support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
