Jimmie Bäckström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jimmie Bäckström in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harry Samuelsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 15th match minute, Lords FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olov Sillén to maneuver through the defense. Harry Samuelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimmie Bäckström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl-Erik Ståhlberg made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Per-Erik Ahlstedt sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Folke Hjortsberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Harry Samuelsson was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Karl-Erik Ståhlberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Simon Törnkvist's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. After the first half Lokomotiv Lycksele were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patrik Modig to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Lords FC's goalkeeper Harry Samuelsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sakarias Fribäck. If Patrik Modig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 57 in the game by Folke Hjortsberg from a close distance when the talented Harry Samuelsson managed to make a qualified save. Lords FC's players were relieved. 61 minutes into the match, Lokomotiv Lycksele's goal looked a bit too open when Patrik Modig came free, but Karl-Erik Ståhlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Per-Erik Ahlstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Lokomotiv Lycksele's Kent Britz got a free kick in the 64th minute. Harry Samuelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmie Bäckström in the 66th minute of play. Per-Erik Ahlstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Karl-Erik Ståhlberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Claes Björklund fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lords FC's protests and gave Claes Björklund a yellow card for diving instead. Harry Samuelsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Folke Hjortsberg in the 77th minute. With a little luck, Lords FC's Harry Samuelsson got control of the ball when Folke Hjortsberg tried to sneak it across the goal line.
