Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jonathan Gudmundsson got the match started through his kick off. When Jörgen Utfal came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Vårgårda BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jörgen Utfal couldn't finish the play. When Esbjörn Wallmark fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vårgårda BK's protests and gave Esbjörn Wallmark a yellow card for diving instead. 10 minutes into the game, one of Vårgårda BK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Manfred Albohm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Sören Ingvall made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manfred Albohm got free with Sören Ingvall in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Gudmundsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vårgårda BK's Jörgen Utfal got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 25 minutes, Andy Hedlund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Katrineholm's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andy Hedlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Gudmundsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute, Vårgårda BK's Jonathan Gudmundsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sören Ingvall. Sören Ingvall yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Tomas Hansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Hedlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Robin Lindgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Hansson having to interfere. Tomas Hansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andy Hedlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mark Lundin kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Katrineholm's zone, Manfred Albohm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sören Ingvall came out of the goal and Manfred Albohm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Tomas Hansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robin Lindgren in the 55th minute of the match. Katrineholm's Sören Ingvall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Gudmundsson in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vårgårda BK's Vidar Sundberg got a free kick in the 57th minute. Mark Lundin's late challenge caught a Katrineholm's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mark Lundin helped the player get up and apologised. Robin Lindgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 68 minutes of play, Vårgårda BK's Jonathan Gudmundsson made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sören Ingvall was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sören Ingvall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Gudmundsson in the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd match minute, Katrineholm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ola Wahlnäs to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robin Lindgren in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomas Hansson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Manfred Albohm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Gudmundsson struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Sören Ingvall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vårgårda BK. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Jonathan Gudmundsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vårgårda BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Gudmundsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sören Ingvall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manfred Albohm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Gudmundsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Sören Ingvall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jonathan Gudmundsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Manfred Albohm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Vårgårda BK were the better team. Vårgårda BK's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
