Stig-Arne Bergkvist charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stig-Arne Bergkvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Borås AIK's Stig-Arne Bergkvist got a free kick in the 17th minute. Gunnar Blomqvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Martin Brandin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC yalda's George Frykberg got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Borås AIK's zone, Martin Brandin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gunnar Blomqvist came out of the goal and Martin Brandin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Håkan Sjögren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Brandin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Gunnar Blomqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Linus Helberg made the kick off in the second half. Martin Brandin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gunnar Blomqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Brandin in the 53rd minute. When Martin Brandin came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the FC yalda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Brandin couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Borås AIK's zone, George Frykberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gunnar Blomqvist came out of the goal and George Frykberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martin Brandin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Blomqvist having to interfere. Linus Helberg struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Tom Godholm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Borås AIK. If Martin Brandin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th match minute, Borås AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas Ahlström to maneuver through the defense. Håkan Sjögren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Blomqvist having to interfere. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
