Spectators: 7367 (Terracing: 5526, Seating: 1694, VIP seats: 147) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jimmy Ennegren started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Beddingestrand BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Åke Dalberg to maneuver through the defense. Kiruna's Jimmy Ennegren got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 8 played minutes Kiruna got a freekick which was hit by Rune Jansson. Örjan Josefsson struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Ralf Winström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beddingestrand BK. Kiruna's Holger Bogren got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mark Ödman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimmy Ennegren, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After having played for 14 minutes, Örjan Josefsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beddingestrand BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Örjan Josefsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ralf Winström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klas Sjöström in the 17th minute of play. Ralf Winström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Örjan Josefsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. If Klas Sjöström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Örjan Josefsson in the 42nd minute of play forced Kiruna's goalkeeper Ralf Winström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jimmy Ennegren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Örjan Josefsson was the one to do the kick off. When Sten Apelqvist fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beddingestrand BK's protests and gave Sten Apelqvist a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice moves Jan-Åke Dalberg could shoot a difficult shot in the 87th minute, which Ralf Winström however easily saved by the left post. Hannes Giliusson's late challenge caught a Beddingestrand BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hannes Giliusson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th minute, Hannes Giliusson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beddingestrand BK's Mark Ödman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Holger Bogren in the 94th minute of play. Kiruna were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Beddingestrand BK for a fine match.
